Exedra Corporate Finance has acted as a financial advisor to UAB Vadovybės Investicijos on the sale of its minority shareholding in a subsidiary company controlling Saulėgrąža – one of the largest credit unions in Lithuania with assets exceeding EUR 80 million – to Enterprise Investors Fund IX.
Saulėgrąža has operated as a licensed Lithuanian credit union since 2012 under the supervision of the Bank of Lithuania, providing a broad range of banking services. Following the completion of the transaction, Saulėgrąža will pursue a full banking license. Once converted, the new bank will specialize in financing SMEs in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland, with ambitions to expand across the broader region.
Enterprise Investors is one of the largest private equity players in Central and Eastern Europe. Active since 1990, the firm has raised ten funds, which have invested and committed EUR 2.5 billion in 164 companies and exited 143 companies.
The transaction remains subject to customary regulatory approvals.
